Gabrielle Watts
PsyD Therapy Practicum Trainee
Gabrielle is from Oklahoma City, where she spent most of her life before relocating to the Chicago suburbs to pursue a degree in psychology. She is currently a third-year doctoral student in clinical psychology at Wheaton College. Her interest in psychology was sparked by a desire to promote healing for individuals, and in doing so, foster healing in families and communities. Gabrielle’s current research qualitatively explores hope theory in women exiting the commercial sale of sex.
Gabrielle strives to meet clients where they are and works collaboratively to find the treatments that work best for them. She believes that with adequate support and resources, change is possible for everyone, and she is committed to advocating for her clients' needs. Previously, Gabrielle worked as a diagnostic extern at Meier Clinics, where she was trained in administering comprehensive psychological assessments, conducting diagnostic interviews, and providing feedback and diagnoses to her clients.
In her free time, Gabrielle enjoys spending time in nature, learning new recipes, taking film photos, and drinking lots of coffee.
