Kelsey is a second-year Master’s student pursuing her MEd in Community Counseling at Loyola University Chicago. Originally from Illinois, Kelsey has lived in various locations across the U.S. and is excited to now call Chicago her home.
Kelsey’s passion for integrating mental health needs with community-based advocacy was ignited during her time at a non-profit organization in New York City. This experience led her to pursue a career in therapy. She then earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from Texas Tech University before continuing her graduate experience at Loyola.
In her therapeutic practice, Kelsey embraces a client-centered approach, collaborating with humility to help clients discover tools and strategies to achieve their goals and embrace who they are with authenticity. She employs an eclectic method, drawing from a range of psychological theories, including systems theory, liberation psychology, existentialism, and acceptance and commitment theory.
Outside of her work in therapy, graduate studies, and her role in marketing and reception, Kelsey enjoys painting, running, reading, caring for her plants, and spending time with her spouse."
